LGBTIQA+ Foundations for Clinicians

Participants will gain an understanding of:

• creating safe and welcoming clinical environments.
• health disparities and inequities experienced by LGBTIQA+ communities.
• barriers LGBTIQA+ people may experience when accessing healthcare.
• inclusive clinical practice and approaches that support respectful and affirming care.
• taking inclusive and relevant clinical histories.
• practical ways to improve the healthcare experience for LGBTIQA+ clients.

• 3-hour interactive course
• Delivered in-house at your workplace. Capacity: Up to 25 participants
• Individual and group organisation bookings available.
• Face-to-face delivery encourages discussion, reflection and shared learning, with practical tools for inclusive language and workplace practice.
• Certificate of Attendance

The workshop is co-facilitated by a health professional and LGBTIQA+ peers with relevant experience and expertise, bringing lived experience and practical insight to the conversation.

• Organisation bookings include one follow-up consulting session to help turn the learning into practical organisational change.

This provides an opportunity to reflect on the course, identify priorities and consider how inclusive practice can be strengthened across your workplace.
