Walk-in and wait means you don’t have to make an appointment in advance.

Our clinic fees are the same for our Walk-Ins and booked appointments.
SHINE SA is a training organisation. At SHINE SA our clinics provide advanced training and upskilling for qualified doctors, nurses and midwives.
At your appointment you may be seen by a qualified health professional completing advanced training with us. A doctor, nurse or midwife will always be present to provide supervision. Talk to our reception staff to discuss what this might mean for you.
SHINE SA wants everyone to be able to access sexual health services in a non-judgemental environment.
We know that some people may feel embarrassed or worried, but rest assured our health workers have seen and heard it all and treat everyone with respect.
When you come to our services the information you provide is confidential. You can learn more about your rights by reading our client rights.

Our clinicians and staff may ask that you wear a mask. Please respect their request. We will provide you with a surgical mask if you don’t have one.

Infection control measures are in place for clients attending our clinics.
Anyone with COVID symptoms should NOT attend a health setting unless directed by a doctor, and generally will not be seen at SHINE SA clinics without a negative COVID-19 PCR test within the last 48 hours. Symptoms may be mild and include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, change in taste, change in smell, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headache, muscle pain. If you have any of these symptoms you should have a COVID-19 test as soon as possible and self-isolate until you have the result. If you develop any of these symptoms, please call SHINE SA before your appointment.
If you are currently quarantining, or are a household contact of someone quarantining you must NOT attend our services. If you are quarantining you cannot attend a SHINE SA clinic until you have had the appropriate COVID testing/negative test result. Please notify our reception if the above the applies to you.
Screening questions may be asked when booking an appointment and when you arrive for your appointment.
You may be asked about your COVID-19 vaccination status when you make your appointment. Regardless of a person’s vaccination status, all clients will have a telephone appointment as their first appointment.
All SHINE SA staff are vaccinated.
