Enable LGBTIQA+ Inclusion for People & Culture

Build the capability to make inclusion part of everyday work.

Creating an inclusive workplace is about more than having the right policies. It’s also about the everyday experiences of people at work, from recruitment and onboarding to people management, workplace conversations and support.

This course explores practical ways to build LGBTIQA+ inclusion into everyday workplace practice and organisational systems.

What will we cover?

This course will cover: LGBTIQA+ workplace experiences and practical ways to build inclusion into recruitment, onboarding, people management and wellbeing. We’ll also cover responding to inappropriate language and behaviour, and aligning workplace policies and procedures with inclusive values.

What will you learn?

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • identify opportunities to strengthen LGBTIQA+ inclusion in your workplace
  • use more inclusive approaches to recruitment and onboarding
  • respond confidently to inappropriate language and behaviour
  • support LGBTIQA+ colleagues through people management and wellbeing processes
  • consider practical changes that can make your workplace more inclusive.

Practical and workplace-focused

The course is interactive and provides an opportunity to explore real workplace situations, ask questions and consider how inclusion can be put into practice.

You don’t need to have all the answers. The focus is on building confidence and practical skills that can be used in your role.

Delivery

  • 2-hour interactive course
  • Delivered in-house at your workplace. Capacity: Up to 25 participants
  • Individual and group organisation bookings available.

The workshop is facilitated by LGBTIQA+ peers with relevant experience and expertise, bringing lived experience and practical insight to the conversation.

Organisation bookings

  • Organisation bookings include one follow-up consulting session to help turn the learning into practical organisational change.

This provides an opportunity to reflect on the workshop, identify priorities and consider how inclusive practice can be strengthened across your workplace.
