Contraception Workshop for Nurses and Midwives
Course Outline
This interactive workshop will provide a broad overview of choices in contraception, clinical consultation and more.
Participants will cover:
- clinical consultation and counselling
- choices in contraception
- in-depth review of long acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs)
- contraception initiation including quick start
- management of contraindications and side effects
- emergency contraception

Eligibility
This course is open to nurses, midwives, Aboriginal Health Workers/Practitioners, AMIC workers and other health workers who are interested in developing their knowledge of STIs and BBVs.
