Through activities, demonstrations and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to expand their own knowledge and understanding while also exploring ways to engage young people in learning about relationships and sexual health topics.
Topics covered in this course include:
Foundations of relationships and sexual health
Creating safe and inclusive learning environments
Consent and respectful relationships
Gender identity, diversity, and expression
Puberty, reproduction, and body changes
Challenging gender stereotypes and expectations
Media influences and sexualisation
Sexting, pornography, and online safety
Understanding diversity of attraction
Sexual activity, STIs, and safer sex practices
Participants will receive access to a digital file with resources.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement and recognition of training and development hours with reference to relevant Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
