About SHINE SA

SHINE SA's vision is for a future where sexual and reproductive health and rights are universal, upheld and celebrated.

SHINE SA is a leading South Australian non‑government organisation delivering integrated services and programs in sexual and reproductive health.

We operate as both a specialist healthcare service and a training organisation, with more than 50 years’ experience working across health, education and community systems.

Our approach is built on the fundamental right of every person to control their own body, receive inclusive care, and have the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.

Our work brings together service delivery, workforce development and education to strengthen prevention, access and quality of care. SHINE SA supports individuals, services and workforces to respond effectively to diverse needs, drawing on evidence, lived experience and established best practice.

Quality, safety and inclusion underpin our work. We are committed to delivering services and programs that are inclusive, trauma‑informed and accessible, and that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.

SHINE SA operates within relevant national and state policy frameworks and contributes to their implementation through practice, education and system partnerships. We prioritise settings and populations where barriers to sexual and reproductive health are most pronounced, with a focus on early intervention, prevention and sustained improvement in health outcomes.
