Sexual Health Week (12-18 September) is the perfect excuse to talk about sexual health and relationship wellbeing. SHINE SA’s theme ‘Better in Bed’ focuses on the principles of safety, pleasure, and respect and being better in bed through safer sex.
Unfortunately, many people feel embarrassed talking about their sexual health, this event aims to open destigmatizing conversations about sexual health in a fun and positive way. Having comprehensive discussions about sexual health is the priority and this includes talking about STIs, consent, sexuality, respectful relationships, contraception and more.
Want to get involved?
SHINE SA is offering grants to community sector groups/organisations to host events and create opportunities to raise awareness of sexual health and relationship wellbeing. Successful applicants will receive $1,500 as well as Sexual Health Week merchandise.
In addition, SHINE SA have put together a social media tool kit, posters, and a range of other information resources to support organisations to be a part of Sexual Health Week.
