Walk-In and Wait

Walk-in and wait means you don’t have to make an appointment!

When is it available?

Our walk-in and wait clinic service is available at the following times:

Woodville Clinic: Monday, Wednesday 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Hyde Street Practice, Adelaide Clinic: Friday 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

How much does it cost?

This service is FREE for those who:

  • are 21 years old and under
  • are a full-time student (have a full-time student card)
  • are a concession card holder (Health Care Card, Commonwealth Seniors card, Pension card, DVA Gold card).

For clients over 21 years old and non-concession card holders, the consult is $35.

(A fee for medication may apply.)

How does it work?

Walk-in and wait means you don’t have to make an appointment.

Our walk-in clinic may see people based on how urgent their medical needs are. This means that those with more time sensitive concerns may be seen first.

We have limited spots available each day. In the unlikely event that we can’t see you on the day we will help you book an appointment.

What can I get help with?

Our walk-in clinics can help you with any of the following:

  • sexually transmitted infections (STI) tests/sexual health check
  • STI symptoms such as discharge or pain
  • pregnancy testing
  • emergency contraception.

You’ll need to book in for more in-depth services like contraceptive services (e.g. the Mirena or Implanon) or PrEP.
