Webinar: What’s Growing On? For Parents/Carers

This webinar will look at the ways parents/carers can support young people through puberty.

Puberty is often recognised as a transition from childhood to adulthood and occurs as a result of hormonal changes. SHINE SA encourages young people to talk to a trusted adult about their experiences of puberty and in many cases this will be a parent or carer. This webinar aims to cover the transition of puberty and discuss how parents/carers can support their young people.

Course Outline

What is Relationships & Sexual Health education?

The purpose of Relationships & Sexual Health (R&SH) education is to empower children and young people to make informed, safe, responsible and healthy decisions. This is achieved through learning and development of lifelong skills and the exploration of values.

SHINE SA recognises and respects the importance of family as a source of R&SH information, education and values.

In this webinar our educators will discuss the SHINE SA R&SH Curriculum and explain more about the services, resources and support available to children, young people and parents/carers.
