Rates of Syphilis continue to rise in South Australia and clinicians are encouraged to offer syphilis screening as part of a routine STI check.

This clinical forum, presented by SHINE SA’s GP Dr Nicola Chynoweth will discuss the latest information on syphilis for health professionals.

Course Outline

Participants will:

  • Identify the stages, signs and symptoms of syphilis.
  • Interpret results and treatment required.
  • Select priority populations for syphilis screening.

Eligibility

This training is open to doctors, nurses, midwives, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health professionals.
